When did you start Crossfit and why did it appeal to you?
Started coaching 14 years ago, and really got a lot of joy out of seeing your everyday athlete accomplish something they never thought possible.
Did you do any sports or recreation before or during CrossFit?
I grew up always playing multiple sports. Basketball was my favourite and the one I stuck with the longest.
What are your current health and fitness goals?
After completing the quarter finals of the CrossFit Open last month, I’m feeling very motivated to push myself and move up the leaderboard next year.
How did you know you wanted to own your own business?
My father had his own business and gave us a really good grasp of the pros and cons of being a small business owner. The amount of responsibility puts a lot of pressure on yourself as an owner but also makes you feel very accomplished.
What’s your favourite CrossFit workout?
Karen…who doesn’t love a wall ball workout?
Outside of CrossFIt, what are we likely to find you doing?
Family and golf keep me busy. My 1-year-old, Cooper, has just started walking and we have another baby boy on the way in a few weeks!
Best coaching moment?
Watching someone get their first double under, pull-up, or any lifting PR!
If you were a superhero, what powers would you want to have?
Be really fast so I could fit more into the day!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza has to be the only answer right?
